Dawn Haylett
Dawn Haylett teaches an Orff program and Band at York House School in Vancouver. She is passionate about the possibility within the Prff process for students and teachers to develop their skills and creativity. She plays French Horn professionally in the Greater Vancouver area.
Sonja Karlson
Sonja has been teaching in the public school systems for seventeen years. She taught piano since she was fourteen years old. Sonja has a Bachelor of Music Degree and Bachelor of Education degree from UBC. She is currently enrolled at SFU in the Masters of Arts Education degree. Sonja has her Orff Level three and is the Past President of the BC Orff Chapter.
Curtis Mathewson
Curtis Mathewson is a percussionist, composer, and educator. He currently teaches K-7 music with the Vancouver School Board and is the music director and composer for Eastside Story Guild, a children’s interdisciplinary performing arts ensemble in East Van. Curtis was the music director and performer with SWARM, an action drumming ensemble that mixed movement with music, using invented instruments. He has given workshops on using marimbas in music education and is a Level III certified Orff specialist.
